Case Details
This patient was in her late 40’s and wanted to improve the appearance of her abdomen. She had had previous abdominal surgery through a vertical abdominal incision and was unhappy with the appearance of the abdomen and the flanks. Because of her contour as well as the previous vertical abdominal incision, we chose to proceed with a fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty with liposuction of the flanks, which means that in addition to the low horizontal scar she also had the vertical scar. For her, it improved the appearance of the vertical scar that she previously had and also helped with her overall shape and contour. She is shown before and 4 years after her surgery, which was performed by Dr. Hampton Howell.
